It has become harder and harder for Mark to walk. He now gets around with a walker and lifting his legs over the tub is impractical and dangerous. He wanted to replace the tub/shower with a walk in shower with a very low curb and with several well placed grab bars that are well secured with solid wood blocking to screw into.

We installed grab bars, Low Curb Threashold, Wand for Easy Showering, and a Multi setting showerhead so the water stream would easily reach him without him having to get out of his shower chair.
We put him in the shower, in the exact chair that he will be using and had him test for the exact height that the grab bars would need to be for them to be helpful to him and then installed them at those exact heights and locations.

The client got the safe walk in shower that was desired. No tub wall to step over, and plenty of support with grab bars strategically placed. The client’s plan of where to sit to bathe, and having access from that seating place to easily reach the shower controls and the wand came to life because we planned it all out with the client and had them sit in the space and reach to where these things could be and we collaboratively decided exactly where each item would be. The client was very pleased with the finished shower.
