Her elderly father was coming to live with her and she wanted to make the bathroom a safe environment for him. He had trouble stepping into the tub and there was a definite fall risk because of having to step into the tub. She needed to convert the tub/shower into a walk in shower without a sliding glass door for easy access. She also thought it best to have a LOW threashold curb so make it very easy for him to step in. Furthemore, she wanted a grab bar installed for safety.
Academy Construction performed a complete tub-to-shower conversion,
removing the old bathtub and installing a modern walk-in shower with
PVC wall panels and a custom-fitted shower pan. The team also installed
new fixtures including a rain showerhead and built-in corner shelf. The
result is a clean, low-maintenance shower that provides easy access and a
fresh, updated appearance.
